Measuring Well-Being, below, was the document that rallied participation in an effort to establish a Genuine Progress Index for Canada. The process started in 1997 with an unusually open-minded discussion at an All Candidates Debate and lasted until a motion was passed in the Canadian House of Commons in June of 2003.
